![]() Ron Gourley As founder and president of Microganics, Ron Gourley works daily to actualize his vision to improve and ensure the safety of food products from the farm to the table. Using bio-organic technology, Ron’s goal is to reduce chemical toxins in the food cycle and increase environmentally safe and organic processes for meat, produce and processed foods. Ron’s diverse experience formed a unique path that led him to Microganics. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater, Ron launched his professional career in sales and marketing for food industry giants Hormel Foods, Oscar Mayer and PepsiCo. By 1991, Ron had risen through the ranks at Pepsi to become the company’s national director of sales and marketing for non-commercial accounts. In 1993, he left corporate business to become an entrepreneur. Ron co-founded the Activ Group, a company with patented technologies designed to leverage molecular science for wound care and improved health to the skin and other tissues. As the company’s president and chief executive officer, he raised working capital, built a leadership team, developed corporate and product brands, and launched several products. Throughout his corporate and entrepreneurial career, Ron became increasingly aware of the need to create and improve environmentally responsible products and processes to ensure the health of food sources, of food service workers and of food consumers. Now at the helm of Microganics, Ron believes strongly that improving the health of the food process also improves the health of the food business.
